AMHERST, N.Y. - The Daemen Wildcats ran their season-long winning streak to five games with a 105-76 rout of the visiting Western Ontario Mustangs in a matinee tilt at Lumsden Gymnasium.
The Wildcats came out of the gates on fire, shooting 69% from the floor (20-for-29) and 75% from three-point range (6-for-8) en route to 57 first half points and a 21-point halftime lead. The Wildcats, who never trailed in the contest, didn't slow down much in the second frame as they put together 48 points on 56% shooting in the half (18-for-32) as they topped the century mark for the second time in three games.
Leading the way was junior Dominic Mazzocchi who torched the nets for 28 points on 11-of-14 shooting from the field, including a 4-for-5 showing from beyond the arc. Mazzocchi, who was one of six Wilcats in double figures added five rebounds to the Daemen cause.
Sophomore forward
Jim Regan had his second consecutive game in double figures with 15 points on 5-of-6 shooting. Senior forward
Khorri Silcott was next with 12 points while senior
Mujeeb Oridami, freshman
Casey Sheehan and freshman
Aaron Davis all cracked double figures with 10 points apiece. The efforts of Regan, Sheehan and Davis all came in a reserve role.

Mark Coppola set the pace of the game in Daemen's favor early on and notched a game-high seven assists while senior
Moustapha Baidy controlled the paint and led the Daemen rebounders with eight boards.
Adam Jespersen led the Mustangs with 23 points and five rebounds. Andrew Wedemire added 14 points and Andrew Vincent chipped in with 11.
The Wildcats get back in action next Tuesday, January 4 as they close out their season-long five game home-stand when they host Houghton College in American Mideast Conference play. Tip time is set for 7:30pm.
