Point Park Keeps It Rolling Against Daemen

GREENTREE, PA - The Daemen College volleyball team suffered a stinging 3-0 defeat to the host Point Park Pioneers on Saturday afternoon (9-25, 20-25, 19-25).  The loss drops Daemen to 21-10 on the season and 4-3 in American Mideast Conference play while Point Park (27-4, 6-1) keeps their momentum rolling with their 12th consecutive win.

The Wildcats did a nice job on AMC Player of the Year candidate Lindsey Oberacker as she was limited to just six kills and a .077 hitting percentage.  They did not, however, has an answer for Brittany Lhota who pounded down a match-high 15 kills in 27 attempts without an error (.556 hitting percentage).

For Daemen, freshman Ye Wang led the Daemen offense with 10 kills and sophomore Jenn Karan added eight kills as the duo accounted for 18 of the team's 25 kills in the match.

Daemen returns to action in match three of a nine consecutive away from home when they travel to Houghton on Tuesday, Oct. 18.
