Box Score LAWRENCE, MA - The Daemen College women's soccer team got two goals apiece from freshmen
Kim Obermeier (Depew, NY/Depew) and
Meghan Lipinoga (North Tonawanda, NY/North Tonawanda) en route to a 9-0 win over former American Mideast Conference foe Fisher College today.
The win today moves Daemen to 8-9 overall as they close out the regular season with five wins in their last six outings. The Wildcats have now out-scored Fisher 26-0 in their last three meetings dating back to last year.
In addition to the multi-goal games of Obermeier and Lipinoga, Daemen got single tallies from freshman
Morgan VanScoter (Arkport, NY/Arkport Central), freshman
Alexandra Pace (Williamsville, NY/Amherst), sophomore
Juli Prentice (Dryden, NY/Dryden), freshman
Ashley Griffin (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) and junior
Rachel Reichart (Marilla, NY/Iroquois Central).
Lipinoga added an assist for a five-point day while fellow goal-scorers Pace, VanScoter, Reichart and Prentice added assists as well. Daemen also got assists from sophomore
Selina Zaccaria (Tonawanda, NY/Kenmore East) and freshman
Marley Brooks (Ithace, NY/Ithaca) in the game.
Next up for Daemen is the program's first-ever National Tournament game as they'll face third-seeded Penn College at the USCAA National Tournament on Thursday, Nov. 1 at 11am from Asheville, NC.
