AMHERST, N.Y. - Junior middle blocker Ye Wang (Beijing, China/Hachioji Jissen) of Daemen College has been named the East Coast Conference Player of the Week for matches between Sept. 16-22 as announed by the conference office today.

Wang amassed double-digit kills in every match this past weekend, leading Daemen (5-3) to four straight wins at the Yellow Jacket Invitational hosted by American International College.  For the tournament, she totaled 53 kills on a .430 hitting percentage and added 18 blocks.  She was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player for her efforts.  It was her second all-tournament team selection having been so named at the Courtyard by Marriott Invitational earlier this season.

Wang and the Wildcats are back in action with four matches this week, beginning with their home opener on Wednesday (Sept. 25) vs. Le Moyne College.
