FULL RESULTS

CLINTON, N.Y. - The Daemen College men's track and field team joined five others to compete at the Hamilton College Invitational today in the Wildcats' final tune up for the East Coast Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships which is set for next Saturday, Feb. 22.

Middle distance runner Zac Ekdahl (Middlesex, N.Y./Marcus Whitman) paced a bevy of top-10 Wildcat finishers today by winning the 800-meter run with a time of 2:00.15.  Ekdahl was joined by freshman Alex Reid (Lockport, N.Y./Lockport) who continued his strong rookie campaign with a runner-up finish in the 60-meter dash (7.22 seconds) and a third-place performance in the long jump (6.31 meters).

Pole vaulter Robert Ralyea (Lockport, N.Y./Lockport) had his best outing of the season thus far, clearing 4.10 meters to earn second place in the event.

Behind Ekdahl in the 800-meter run, freshman Nigel Cordulla (Cheektowaga, N.Y./John F. Kennedy) came in fourth (2:03.20) while Travis Enser (West Valley, N.Y./West Valley Central) was eighth (2:18.08).  Enser added a second top-10 finish - seventh in the 400-meter dash (55.26 seconds) - to his solid outing today.

In long distance races, the duo of Jeremy Rushok (Akron, N.Y./Buffalo State College) and Zach Eustance (Hilton, N.Y./Hilton) finished sixth and seventh, respectively, in the 3000-meter run.  Rushok's time of 9:10.65 was just a smidge better than Eustance's (9:13.24).  Ethan Dinan (Geneva, N.Y./Geneva) added a pair of top-10 finishes as well - eighth in the one-mile run (4:44.84) and ninth in the 1000-meter run (2:56.42).

The Wildcats head to the ECC Indoor Championships in Huntington, N.Y. to close the indoor portion of their 2013-14 schedule next weekend.
