| Daemen: Dan Dolan enters his eighth season as the head coach at Daemen where he's led the program to an average of nearly 10 wins per season...from 2010 through 2013, Dolan led the Wildcats to four straight double-figure win seasons, winning 62-percent of their contests in that span...last season was the program's most successful since transitioning to NCAA Division II, as Dolan led the Wildcats to a team-record four ECC wins to finish in fifth place in the final league standings, just one spot back of a conference tournament berth...during the Wildcats' transition period, Dolan led the program to three straight appearances in the USCAA national championship game, winning the title in 2012. |

| DAEMEN SCOUTING REPORT (4-9-2, 1-6-1 ECC) |
| Daemen returns 15 players from last year's team that finished 7-10-1 overall and 4-5-0 in the East Coast Conference…eighth-year head coach Dan Dolan has his team coming off its most successful season since making the transition to NCAA Division II and the East Coast Conference...the returning core is led by junior back Rose Carboni who anchors the Wildcat defense...she was a third-team All-ECC selection last season...also back are six off the team's top seven point-producers from 2015, including junior forward Stephanie Zurales (6 gls, 5 asts, 17 pts) and senior midfielder Alexis Koral (5 gls, 2 asts, 12 pts) who produced double-figure points...Zurales' point total tied her for 11th among all ECC players...Daemen was picked to finish seventh in the ECC preseason poll...Daemen snapped a four-game winless drought (0-3-1) with a 3-1 defeat of Pitt-Johnstown on Oct. 11...it was the Wildcats' first victory since downing ECC foe St. Thomas Aquinas by the same score back on Sept. 18, and their first win against a PSAC opponent since 2002...freshman Jamie Boyar hit for a pair of goals in the win, becoming the first Daemen freshman to post a multi-goal game since Kim Obermeier in 2012...fellow freshman Lindsay Ciaramella scored her first career goal in the win, snapping a 1-1 tie in the second half...three straight conference losses have followed, including a 7-3 decision to nationally-ranked Bridgeport...despite the loss, Daemen became the first ECC team to score three times against the perennial powerhouse Purple Knights since Dowling on Oct. 28, 2012...Boyar's goal in the 65th minute snapped Bridgeport's string of more than 520 minutes without allowing a goal, dating back to Sept. 28...Boyar leads the team in goals (6), assists (4), points (16), shots (36) and shots on goal (19)...she also leads all ECC freshmen in points this season...her goal total is the most for a Daemen freshman since the afore-mentioned Obermeier netted nine in 2012...additional offensive production has come from newcomer Kalyn Compeau (3 gls, 6 pts) and redshirt-sophomore Sarah Britton (3 gls, 1 ast, 7 pts)...in goal, it's been sophomore Jackie Wescott who's gotten the lion's share of work between the pipes with starts in 14 of Daemen's 15 outings...she made 11 saves in the win over UPJ, her fifth game this year with double-figure stops...her 99 total saves this year rank second among ECC net-minders, and are the most for a Daemen player since Kayla Hampton stopped 97 shots in 2011...senior midfielder Kelly DuVall and sophomore back Alex Valenti join Boyar as the only players to start all 15 contests thus far...Daemen is unbeaten (1-0-1) when DuVall records an assist, and Valenti posted the first assist of her career in the win over UPJ...injuries have taken their toll of late as Zurales and Carboni have each missed time...Zurales has been out since Sept. 14, while Carboni has missed the last six outings. |

| MERCYHURST SCOUTING REPORT (7-7-2, 6-7-2 PSAC) |
| Mercyhurst is led by Keith Cammidge, the all-time winningest coach in team history, who has posted a 159-104-24 record during his 15-year tenure...the Lakers return 12 players from their 2015 team which went 8-8-2 overall and 6-8-2 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference...among the returners is senior forward Nicole McAlpin who is the only player back who appeared in and started all 18 contests last season...McAlpin posted four goals and two assists to total 10 points in 2015...senior net-minder Kristen Koch also returns after posting a 1.36 goals against average over 11 games last season...the Lakers were picked 12th in the PSAC preseason poll...the Lakers got off to an impressive start, going 6-3-1 from Sept. 1 through Oct. 1...senior forward Rebekah Craig netted the game-winning goals in wins over Indiana (Pa.) (1-0) and Lock Haven (6-1) to earn PSAC Player of the Week honors as the Lakers opened the year with back-to-back wins for the first time since 2012...the Lakers have hit the skids of late, going just 1-4-1 since Oct. 5...a 2-0 shutout of Mansfield on Oct. 16 snapped a three-game slide...recently, MU battled to a 1-1 (2OT) draw with regionally-ranked Gannon (Oct. 19) and suffered a 2-1 defeat to regionally-ranked Kutztown (Oct. 22)...the loss to Kutztown was MU's fifth one-goal loss of the season...freshman Jinan Abdalah Funes, a native of Honduras, has paced the Laker offense thus far with seven goals (14 pts)...Craig has posted four goals and a pair of assists (10 pts)...additional offensive production has come from McAlpin, freshman Maya Fanazini and freshman Maya Bauer who have each registered two goals and two assists this season...Koch has been the team's exclusive goalkeeper, logging nearly 1,500 minutes thus far...she ranks fourth in the PSAC in save percentage (.853) and sixth in both goals against average (0.91) and total saves (87)...her six shutouts rank second in the league...the Lakers sit in a tie for 10th in the PSAC standings presently, three points back of eighth-place Bloomsburg. |
