Wildcats Look To Complete Season Sweep Of Rival Redhawks

Daemen Needs A Win To Keep Playoff Hopes Alive

THE LEAD
The Daemen College women's basketball team closes out the 2016-17 regular-season when it travels to long-time rival Roberts Wesleyan College Saturday (Feb. 25) for an East Coast Conference game…RWC has already clinched a berth in the upcoming ECC Championship Tournament…Daemen enters the weekend in seventh place in the ECC standings, a game behind New York Tech and the University of Bridgeport…the top six teams advance to the ECC Championship.

PLAYOFF PICTURE
Daemen can still advance to the ECC Championship Tournament if the following happens Saturday…Daemen needs to defeat Roberts Wesleyan and the University of the District of Columbia needs to defeat Bridgeport…if Daemen and Bridgeport end up tied for sixth in the final standings, Daemen would earn the bid because the Wildcats defeated the Purple Knights twice during the regular season…a loss on Saturday eliminates Daemen from the ECC Tournament.
