For Communications Women's Basketball Summer Camp Dates Announced Camps Offered Include 2 Day Camp Sessions & Advanced Skills Academy AMHERST, N.Y. - Daemen College head women's basketball coach Jenepher Banker has announced a trio of upcoming summer camp offerings to be held on campus for area youths in the coming months. Banker and her staff will conduct two weeks of traditional basketball day camp; session one runs from June 26-30, and session two runs from July 17-21. In addition, the staff is offering an Advanced Skills Academy which runs for 90 minutes each Saturday morning from July 8 through August 5 for a total of five sessions. Hours for the traditional basketball day camp are 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. with early drop-off and late pick-up available at no extra cost. The camp is open to girls ages 7-17 and the cost is $200 for the entire week. Family discounts are available. Each registrant will take home a Daemen reversible jersey and basketball, and other giveaways and prizes will be dispersed throughout the week. More information is available in the girls basketball camp brochure. The Advanced Skills Academy is priced at $125 for the entire duration of the camp. The camp is open to girls ages 8-12, and will focus on the fundamentals and advanced skills necessary to for serious improvement. All registrants receive a Daemen reversible jersey. The camps announced today are in addition to the Elite Prospect Camps being offered on May 20 and July 1. All Daemen College sports camps and clinics are open to any and all entrants. Each camp may limit registration only by number, age, grade level and/or gender. Further, NCAA rules prohibit representatives of Daemen's athletics interests (a booster) who is not naturally or legally responsible for a prospective student-athlete (grades 9-12) from providing any expenses to attend a camp or clinic. Violations of this could result in loss of NCAA eligibility for the prospective student-athlete.
