AMHERST, N.Y. – Niklas Ringdahl Bohlin (Fjaras, Sweden) of the Daemen College men's soccer team has been named a third team All-East Coast Conference selection, announced today in a press release from the conference office in West Babylon, N.Y. The All-ECC teams were selected by the league's 10 head coaches, and Ringdahl Bohlin becomes the second Daemen player to garner All-ECC recognition since joining the league in 2013.

Ringdahl Bohlin, a versatile midfielder, put together an impressive sophomore season as he appeared in 16 of the team's 17 contests while making 15 starts. He led the team in goals (5), points (11) and shot attempts (33) this season. He is just the eighth Daemen player over the last seven season to record five goals, and he finished tied for 22nd among the ECC leaders in points.

"I am very happy for Niklas to receive recognition from the coaches in our conference," said Daemen head coach Bobby McColl. "He has shown good consistency this season and added goal-scoring to his game. He was asked to play several roles and always stood up to the challenge."

The first of his goals came in a 3-2 win against Gannon University on September 10. Rindahl Bohlin opened the scoring in the 53rd minute, and later netted the game-winner on a free kick from the top of the box in the 73rd minute. It marked the first multi-goal game of his career. The win came against a Golden Knights squad that went on to finish with a 10-6-2 record this season.

Just five days later, Ringdahl Bohlin picked up an assist on Noah Keem's (Amherst, N.Y.) game-winning goal in a 2-1 victory over Molloy College.

The Daemen sophomore went on to record single tallies in road losses to #25 Mercy College (Oct. 3) and preseason ECC favorite University of the District of Columbia (Oct. 17), and he added his final goal of the season in a 4-2 non-conference loss to Mercyhurst University on October 23.

Ringdahl Bohlin joins Keem as the only Daemen players to earn all-conference recognition in Daemen's six seasons as members of the ECC. Keem was a third team selection last season.

For his career, Ringdahl Bohlin has appeared in 34 games and made 33 starts, while totaling nine goals, seven assists and 25 points.

Daemen finished the season with a 5-12-0 overall record and a 3-6-0 mark in ECC play. The three ECC wins tie the team record for conference wins in a season.
