The loss snapped Daemen's modest two-game winning streak, dropping them to 3-4 on the season. Mercyhurst, a member of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference, improved to 6-0 all-time against Daemen, while upping their 2018 record to an even 3-3. Maia Russo, Emilie Bock and Laia Santos netted the goals for Mercyhurst which outshot Daemen 18-6 in the contest. The Lakers placed 10 shots on frame, while the Wildcats managed two. Vilde Wold made a pair of saves to earn the shutout for Mercyhurst. Maddie Flores (Seattle, Wash.) got the start for Daemen and made a season-high seven saves in defeat. It was Flores' first action between the pipes since starting against Wilmington University on September 3. Jamie Boyar (Williamsville, N.Y.) and Katja Meyer (Verona, N.Y.) each registered two shots and one shot on goal for the Wildcats.
