Albano Announces Junior Wildcat Spring Clinic Series Dates

1/8/2019 4:11:00 PM

AMHERST, N.Y. - Stephanie Albano, head women's volleyball coach at Daemen College, announced today that she and her staff will once again conduct the Junior Wildcat Spring Clinic Series.

The Junior Wildcat Spring Clinic Series is a weekly 90-minute camp designed to teach the fundamentals of volleyball, including passing, setting, serving, digging and spiking to boys and girls in grades 3-8.  No prior volleyball experience is required, and the camp will run each Monday evening (6:30 - 8:00 p.m.) beginning March 25 and running through April 15. The Junior Wildcat Spring Clinic Series will be held in Lumsden Gymnasium, the home venue of the Daemen men's and women's volleyball teams.

Each session will be conducted by Albano, the two-time East Coast Conference Coach of the Year, with help from her staff and current players. Albano, who played collegiately at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, has coached locally at Canisius College, Medaille College and and the University at Buffalo before coming to Daemen. She recently led Daemen to the 2018 East Coast Conference championship.

Cost of attendance is $75 for all four sessions, and each registrant will receive a Daemen Volleyball t-shirt.  Walk-up registrants are welcome at a cost of $20 per session.  Online registration is also available.

For more information, Albano can be reached at (716) 566-7893 or via email.

As always, information on all Daemen College sports camps and clinics can be found on the sports camps and clinics webpage.

All Daemen College sports camps and clinics are open to any and all entrants. Each camp may limit registration only by number, age, grade level and/or gender. Further, NCAA rules prohibit representatives of Daemen's athletics interests (a booster) who is not naturally or legally responsible for a prospective student-athlete (grades 9-12) from providing any expenses to attend a camp or clinic. Violations of this could result in loss of NCAA eligibility for the prospective student-athlete. If you have questions regarding this or any other NCAA rule, please contact the Daemen Office of Compliance at (716) 839-8587.
