ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Sophomore Dylan Ruiz scored three goals to lift Roberts Wesleyan College to a 5-1 victory over Daemen College here tonight in East Coast Conference men's soccer action. Daemen dropped to 0-14-0 overall and 0-6-0 in the ECC. Roberts Wesleyan ran its winning streak to three-straight games and improved to 8-5-1 overall and 5-1-0 in the league.
It marked the fifth multi-goal game of the year for Ruiz, who has now totaled a league-high 15 goals on the year.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Daemen opened the scoring just 11:26 into the contest when freshman Christian Lewin (Bobenheim-Roxhelm, Germany) scored off a feed from junior Derek Mancuso (Friendship, N.Y.). It marked the first career goal for Lewin and the first career assist for Mancuso.
- The hosts even the score just over six minutes later following a goal by senior Jaheed Loblack.
- Ruiz gave RWC the lead for good with just over 18 minutes left before halftime, and the Redhawks closed out the first-half scoring following a goal by Ruiz in the 34th minute.
- The score remained 3-1 until Ruiz completed his three-goal "hat trick" with just over 10 minutes to play.
- RWC converted a penalty kick in the 85th minute to close out the scoring.
- RWC finished with a 10-1 edge in shots on goal.
- Sophomore Eithan Hahn (Lancaster, N.Y.) went the distance in goal for the Wildcats and made five saves.

GAME NOTES
- Daemen had prevailed in the last two—and four of the last six—meetings between the two rivals prior to tonight. RWC now holds a 15-4-2 advantage in the all-time series.
- Today's game marked the last of five-straight road games for the Wildcats.
- Daemen returns to action Tuesday when it hosts Bloomsburg University in a non-league game.
