It marks the first time since transitioning to Division II that Daemen has been included in the official regional rankings which are used to determine NCAA tournament bids. Additional regional polls are scheduled to be released on Nov. 6 and 13, and the full NCAA Division II tournament field will be revealed on a selection show posted to NCAA.com on Monday, Nov. 18. The top eight teams from the East Region will qualify to be part of the 48-team tournament field. Daemen sits at 9-3-3 overall following their 2-0 win at Clarion University earlier this week. Two of their three losses have come against teams ranked in the top three in this week's regional poll. The Wildcats fell 2-1 against No. 3 Molloy College on Oct. 14, and 3-1 against No. 1 (and nationally-ranked) College of St. Rose on Oct. 19. Daemen also owns a 1-0 win over No. 2 Mercy College, one of only two teams to defeat the Mavericks (10-2-2 overall) this season. Two games remain on the schedule for Daemen to enhance its postseason resume, and to first and foremost keep themselves in contention for a bid to the four-team East Coast Conference Championships. The Wildcats will host Lincoln University (11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 2) and travel to St. Thomas Aquinas College (12 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 9) to close the regular season. At 2-2-2 in league play, Daemen sits in a tie with Roberts Wesleyan College for fifth place in the ECC standings. NCAA DIVISION II EAST REGION RANKINGS - OCT. 30, 2019 1. St. Rose (12-2-1) 2.
