AMHERST, N.Y. - Senior forward Jamie Boyar (Williamsville, N.Y.) of Daemen College has been named to the United Soccer Coaches All-East Region Second Team following a vote of the region's head coaches. It marks the second regional honor Boyar has earned this year, as she was also recently named to the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) Women's Soccer All-East Region Second Team.

Boyar paced a Daemen offense that scored three or more goals six times this year and totaled 44 goals in 18 games. Boyar scored at least one goal in 12 games and closed out the year with 18 goals and 37 points. She finished second in the East Coast Conference and currently ranks 11th nationally in goals scored. She's also accounted for seven game-winning goals, which ranked second in the ECC and currently ranks ninth nationally.

She started the season on a hot streak, netting 10 goals during a season-opening five-game winning streak. She finished with five multi-goal games this season, and led Daemen to a 9-2-1 record in games that she scored at least once. Boyar notched two goals in Daemen's regular-season finale win over St. Thomas Aquinas College—the 54th and 55th tallies of her career, surpassing the program record for career goals established by Kim Walker from 2003-06.

Boyar's offensive production helped Daemen post an 11-4-3 overall record this season—the program's most victories since 2011. The team's success placed Daemen into the NCAA Division II Tournament for the first time in program history. A 4-0 loss to The College of the Rose in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament brought Daemen's season to an end. St. Rose went on to claim the regional championship and advance to the Division II "Final Four".

It marks the second straight year Boyar has been named to both all-region teams. Boyar became the first multi-time all-region honoree of Daemen's NCAA Division II era last year after she netted a school-record 20 goals. She is also a three-time All-ECC honoree, earning first-team honors as a junior and senior.

Boyar appeared in and started all 68 games since the start of the 2016 season, leading Daemen to a 32-29-7 overall record in those contests. In addition to her program record for goals, she ranks second on Daemen's all-time points list with 121 (Kim Walker, 132), and is one of only three players in team history to reach 100 points in a career.
