AMHERST, N.Y. - Jamie Boyar (Williamsville, N.Y.) of Daemen College has been named to the NCAA Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) All-East Region Second Team which was released today. It marks the second straight season that Boyar has collected All-Region honors from the D2CCA.

Boyar has paced a Daemen offense that has been explosive at times this season. The senior forward has netted 18 goals this fall, and has totaled 37 points. She finished the regular season ranking second in the East Coast Conference and eighth nationally in goals. She's also accounted for seven game-winning goals, ranking first in the ECC and fifth nationally.

She started the season on a hot streak, netting 10 goals during a season-opening five-game winning streak. She finished with five multi-goal games this season, and led Daemen to a 9-2-1 record in games that she scored at least once. Boyar notched two goals in Daemen's regular-season finale win over St. Thomas Aquinas College - the 54th and 55th tallies of her career, surpassing the program record for career goals established by Kim Walker from 2003-06.

Boyar's offensive production has helped Daemen post an 11-3-3 overall record this season - the program's most victories since 2011. The team's success has placed Daemen into the NCAA tournament for the first time. The Wildcats are the No. 8 seed in the East Regional, and will face top-seeded College of St. Rose this Friday, Nov. 22 in Albany. The Golden Knights feature a high-scoring senior forward of their own, Nina Predanic who was named the D2CCA East Region Player of the Year today.

Boyar is the first multi-time All-Region honoree of Daemen's NCAA Division II era. She earned the accolade last season after becoming the first player in program history to score 20 goals in a season. She's also a three-time All-ECC honoree, including her second straight first team selection announced last week.

Boyar has appeared in and started all 67 games since the start of the 2016 season, leading Daemen to a 32-28-7 overall record in those contests. In addition to her program record for goals, she ranks second on Daemen's all-time points list with 121 (Kim Walker, 132), and is one of three players in team history to reach 100 points in a career.
