Meyer has been named the ECC Player of the Week and Masic was selected as the ECC Setter of the Week for matches played November 1-7. Both players were integral in helping the Wildcats post a 3-0 record with conference victories over D'Youville, Mercy and Bridgeport which clinched the No. 1 seed in the upcoming ECC Championship tournament as well as the program's first-ever undefeated conference season. Meyer, a 6-foot right side hitter, collects ECC Player of the Week honors for the fourth time this season after totaling 31 kills (3.44 kills/set) on a .509 hitting percentage last week. She added 21 digs (2.33 digs/set), six service aces (0.67 service aces/set) and five blocks (0.56 blocks/set) as well, and accounted for 40.5 points. Meyer was the lone player to tally double-figure kills in the Wildcats' sweep of D'Youville on November 2, finishing with 11. She posted a match-high 12 kills in Saturday's defeat of Mercy, and added a team-high eight kills to go with 11 digs, five aces and three blocks Sunday vs. Bridgeport. Meyer has recorded 10+ kills in 19 of 26 matches this season and leads the ECC in kills per set (3.47). Six of the 10 ECC Player of the Week selections this season have come from Daemen. A 5-foot-9 sophomore, Masic earned her second ECC Setter of the Week selection after totaling 65 assists (8.13 assists/set) in the three Daemen wins. She split time with classmate Olivia Alessi (East Aurora, N.Y.) against D'Youville, totaling eight kills while playing in two sets. With Alessi nursing an injury on the weekend, Masic stepped into the starting role and racked up 33 assists vs. Mercy and 24 more vs. Bridgeport. She averaged 9.50 assists per set while exclusively handling the team's setting duties in the last two matches. Masic and Alessi have now accounted for five of the 10 ECC Setter of the Week selections this season. Daemen remains the only team with multiple Setter of the Week recipients in the same season since the award was instituted in 2014. At 19-7 overall (12-0 ECC), the Wildcats will take a six-match winning streak into their regular season finale Thursday (November 11) as they visit Le Moyne for a non-conference match.
