Daemen dropped to 1-3 this season with the loss. Millersville, a member of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference, snapped a two-match slide and improved to 3-6 this season. The Wildcats and Marauders have met in six successive seasons. Millersville has won three straight meetings, evening the series at three wins apiece. DOUBLES REPORT Millersville quickly opened up a 1-0 lead in the match by sweeping through doubles play. Ben Fellman and Ting-Yu Yen scored a 6-1 win in the No. 2 doubles position over Daemen's Jose Williamson III (Minneapolis, Minn.) and Phillip Vance (Orchard Park, N.Y.). That was followed by a 6-1 win from Santiago Ramos and Zach Pernia on the No. 3 court over Ross Belen (Marlboro, N.Y.) and Marcos Lerma Escobar (Zaragoza, Spain). Daemen's top pair of Ben Davis (Rochester, N.Y.) and Sam Greco (Amherst, N.Y.) faired slightly better, but still fell 6-3 to MU's Frank Yanni and Carlos Martinez-Lucas. It marked the first loss of the season for Davis and Greco as they dropped to 3-1 as a doubles pair. SINGLES REPORT Yen (No. 6 singles: 6-0, 6-0), Pernia (No. 5 singles: 6-0, 6-2) and Fellman (No. 4 singles: 6-1, 6-3) all picked up quick wins at the back end of the Marauder lineup, sealing the dual match victory. The top end of lineup featured some tighter decisions, but all still went the way of the hosts. Martinez-Lucas improved to 7-2 this season with his 6-4, 7-5 win over Davis on the No. 1 court. Yanni was a 6-3, 7-5 winner in second singles over Daemen's Vance, and Ramos earned a 6-4, 6-2 win over Williamson III on the No. 3 court.
