EAST COAST CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP — COMPLETE RESULTS

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Roberts Wesleyan University posted a perfect team score of 15 to secure first place at the 2022 East Coast Conference Men's Cross Country Championship held this morning on the Roberts Wesleyan campus.

The top five finishers were all from Roberts Wesleyan, which earned the Redhawks the perfect score. Five of the next nine finishers hailed from Daemen University, which secured the Wildcats second place among the five schools competing. The second place showing was the best-ever finish for the Daemen men, topping the previous best finish of third the Wildcats posted in 2013, 2016 and 2017. Daemen finished with a team score of 48, which is also the best score posted by the Wildcats since joining the league in 2013.

Roberts Wesleyan claimed the team title for the eighth-straight year. They were led by race winner Blake Kasper, who paced the field with a time of 26:07.2 and in the process earned ECC Runner of the Year honors. The 8K race featured 57 total competitors. Molloy (69), St. Thomas Aquinas (107) and Queens (139) rounded out the team scoring.
