Wildcats Close Regular Season With Loss At Queens

Same two teams meet next Friday in opening round of conference tournament

FLUSHING, N.Y. – The Daemen University men's tennis team closed the 2021-22 regular season with a 7-0 loss to Queens College in East coast Conference action at the QC Tennis Center this morning. 

Daemen nearly got on the board with a point on the first singles court when junior Luis de Vuyst (Atwerp, Belgium) shook off a slow start and forced the match to a third set tiebreak. Queens' Kareem Rashad managed to outlast the Daemen junior, completing the sweep for the Knights.

The same two teams will meet again next Friday, April 29 in the opening round of the ECC Championships to be held at the QC Tennis Center. Daemen is the tournament's No. 4 seed, while Queens, the four-time defending champion, is seeded first.
