Daemen was averaging 74.3 points and shooting 50-percent (188-380) overall and 37-percent (50-135) from behind the three-point line during its seven-game winning streak. The Wildcats shot just 36-percent (22-for-61) overall and 7-of-26 (27%) from downtown this evening. Daemen also shot a season-low 50-percent (11-of-22) from the free throw line tonight. IMPACT PLAYERS Sophomore guard Darren Fergus connected on just 8-of-20 shots and led the host Lions with 25 points, four assists, two blocks and two steals. Only two players scored in double figures for the Wildcats. Junior Dylan Fasoyiro (Houston, Tex.) scored a team-high 15 points and also totaled eight rebounds and two steals. GAME NOTES Molloy has now prevailed in three of the last four meetings between the two teams, but Daemen maintains a 12-8 advantage in the all-time series. Molloy held a 14-13 lead midway through the first half when the hosts put together a 17-3 run to open up a 15-point lead, 31-16. The lead was still 14 points, 35-21, with three minutes left before halftime when the Wildcats rallied and closed out the half with a 9-0 run that made it a five-point game, 35-30. The teams traded baskets early in the second half and Molloy held a 40-38 lead when the hosts put together a 15-2 run. A three-pointer by sophomore Kenny Lazo with 14:02 left to play capped the run and gave the Lions a 55-40 lead. Molloy later took its largest lead of the game, 68-49, following a conventional three-point play by freshman Dashaun Warren with 3:26 remaining. Daemen made things interesting with a 10-1 run, but the Wildcats could come no closer than the final point spread of nine points. Salzberg now stands just three assists shy of 200 for his career.
