Men's Tennis Falls At Le Moyne In Final Non-League Match Before ECC Play

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The Daemen University men's tennis team fell 6-1 to the Le Moyne College Dolphins in a Sunday evening match at Elevate Fitness Center. It marked the final non-league match of the season for the Wildcats before Daemen opens up East Coast Conference play. The loss snapped Daemen's two match win streak, and drops the Wildcats to 4-9 on the year and 4-6 in the spring. Le Moyne moves to 6-1 on the year. 

Le Moyne took the first point of the game after winning two of the three doubles matches, as per NCAA Division II scoring. The Daemen senior pairing of Phillip Vance (Orchard Park, N.Y.) and Zach Laplante (Ottawa, Ont.) won in No. 3 doubles with a 6-3 victory over Le Moyne's Manuel Righi and Xavier Branagan. The Dolphins took five of the six singles matches. Daemen freshman Rohan Chitanand (Den Haag, Netherlands) picked up Daemen's sole point of the match with a win over Rodrigo Beires in No. 4 singles.

#3 -- Phillip Vance & Zach Laplante (Daemen) defeat Manuel Righi & Xavier Branagan (Le Moyne), 6-3
