WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. -- The Daemen University men's tennis team suffered a 7-0 loss to the Queens Knights in the Wildcats' final home match of the regular season, played at the Williamsville South tennis courts on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. With the loss, the Wildcats drop to 5-15 on the season and 0-5 in East Coast Conference play, while Queens improves to 14-4 overall and 5-1 in ECC matches.
The Knights took the first point of the match after winning two of the three doubles pairings, as per NCAA Division II scoring rules. Queens would go on to sweep all six singles games to take the match 7-0. It marked the final home match of the season for the Wildcats, and the final match of ECC play. The Wildcats will travel to New Hampshire for a pair of non-league matches on Sunday and Monday against Franklin Pierce and Southern New Hampshire before heading downstate to play in the ECC Championship Tournament on Thursday.
