AMHERST, N.Y. – Both the Daemen University men's and women's soccer teams have been recognized by the United Soccer Coaches (USC) for their academic achievements during the 2022-23 academic year. Both teams collected a College Team Academic Award for posting a team grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher for the 2022-23 academic year.
A total of 814 teams (314 men, 500 women) from across all three NCAA divisions posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the USC Team Academic Award for the 2022-23 academic year. Of that total, 184 schools had both their men's and women's programs recognized.
The Daemen men, coach by
Bediako Swan, posted a 3.40 team GPA last year. The Daemen women, coached by
Dan Dolan, posted a team GPA of 3.42 in 2022-23.
