SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Daemen University fifth year senior
Hannah Thomas (Cheektowaga, N.Y.) finished second overall and helped lead the Wildcats to a second-place team finish at the season opening Frank Dillon Memorial Invitational on Saturday morning.

The Wildcats placed four runners in the top-15 in the 4K race this morning, with Thomas leading the pack with a personal-best second-place time of 15:50.7, shaving 30+ seconds off her 2022 time of 16:26.7. Sophomore
Patsy Oberholzer (Greece, N.Y.) placed eighth overall with a time of 16:05.8. Senior
Camryn Bailey (Geneva, N.Y.) posted a time of 16:18.4 to finish 11th, while junior
Emma Cain finished 14th at 17:09.5.
Sophomore
Christa Oates (Tonawanda, N.Y.), a transfer from Medaille, finished 21st with a time of 18:15.8 in her Daemen debut to round out the top-5.
Daemen was one of six teams running in the Frank Dillon Memorial Invitational this morning. SUNY-ESF (49) placed three runners in the top-10 to narrowly edge out the Wildcats (52) for the win. Despite host Le Moyne (67) having the top finisher in the race, as Sophia Bisognano led the field of 67 runners with a 15:33.7 finish, the Dolphins finished third as a team. Oswego State (75), SUNY Delhi (118) and Morrissville State (146) rounded out the final three teams in the race.
Sophomore
Hayley Pizur (Grand Island, N.Y.) placed 35th overall with a time of 19:43.8. Senior
Haley Hinds (Blossvale, N.Y.) finished with a time of 20:15.3 to place 40th. Senior
Neissa Raymond posted a time of 22:02.0 to finish 44th and round out the Daemen runners.
Daemen has a week off next weekend, but returns to the course to host the Daemen Alumni Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 16 at Williamsville's Bassett Park.
