Hannah Thomas (Cheektowaga, N.Y.) led the Wildcats, placing 14th out of 147 runners with a PR time of 19:09.2, marking the third week in a row that Thomas set a PR. She shaved 19 seconds off her previous 5K PR (19:28.9) set last week at the Daemen Alumni Invitational.
Senior
Camryn Bailey (Geneva, N.Y.) placed 17th overall with a personal best time of 19:18.1. Like Thomas, Bailey also set a 5K PR for the second straight week running 16 seconds faster than her PR last week (19:34.4). Junior
Emma Cain (Lockport, N.Y.) posted a time of 20:09.9 to finish 43rd overall in the race.Â
The Wildcats have next weekend off but return to action on Saturday, Oct. 7 at the Highlander Invitational in Houghton, N.Y.
