ON THE PITCH
The Daemen University men's soccer team heads downstate to face Queens College in their final road contest of the 2024 season. Kick-off from Varsity Soccer Field is set for 12 p.m. on Oct. 19.

LAST TIME OUT
Two first-half goals proved to be the difference as Saint Anselm College defeated Daemen, 2-0, in the Wildcats last match back on Oct. 15. Tied 0-0 over midway through the first-half, the Hawks broke the deadlock in the 33rd minute as their leading scorer, Lucas Bravo Olle, fired a ball past the Wildcats into the high left corner of the net off a pass from Aiden Lehane.   Saint Anselm doubled their advantage in the 37th minute as James Poschmann found Chance Prouty less than ten yards from the goal. Prouty collected the pass and found the back of the net to double the Hawks edge. In net, freshman  Colin Hockridge (Scarborough, Ont.) made two stops in his collegiate debut. Hockridge also became the first true freshman to start in net for the Wildcats since Oct. 27, 2018, when Ethan Hahn started against St. Thomas Aquinas College.

THE FULL 90
Not including goalkeepers, junior defender Jean Tilo (Port-au-Prince, Haiti) is the only member of the Wildcats to play the full 90 minutes in every contest he has appeared in with at least five appearances. The former Bahamas Senior National Team selection has appeared in nine contests this year and provided his first assist for the Wildcats in Daemen's 2-1 win over Walsh back on Sept. 7. Dating back to last season, Tilo has played the entire 90 minutes in 12 of his last 13 appearances.

SEEING DOUBLE
Graduate student Dennis Montero Guerrero (Weingarten, Germany) and Rayane Baitiche (Thionville, France) are the only two members of the Blue and White to score twice in a match this season. Montero Guerrero supplied both of Daemen's goals in their 2-1 win over Lock Haven University back on Sept. 11, while Baitiche found the back of the net twice against Goldey-Beacom College on Sept. 18. Both instances marked the first time either player had scored two-or-more times in a contest while with Daemen.

MAN BETWEEN THE STICKS
Senior goalie Arturo Bustamante (South Gate, Calif.) is currently tied for first in the ECC and 12th nationally for total saves with 53. The South Gate, Calif., native is tied with Callum Hunt of Molloy and Luke Shank of Holy Family (CACC) for 12th in the nation with 53 stops across eight appearances this season for the Blue and White. Bustamante is also ranked 17th nationally and second in the ECC for saves per game with an average of 5.30 and is 35th in the nation for save percentage at .791.
SCOUTING QUEENS (7-4-1, 4-0 ECC)
Undefeated in ECC play, the defending ECC Tournament champions have compiled a seven match unbeaten streak that featured all four of their conference wins. In their last game, Queens drew 0-0 with Caldwell University, ending their six match winning streak. Leading the Knights attack is Harry Cooke who leads the nation in total points (33) and goals (14). In net, the Knights have rotated between the tandem of Noris Iten and Thanasis Shehadeh with Shehadeh leading the way with five wins and a .33 GAA.

SERIES HISTORY
Queens leads the all-time series 8-2 and has won four of the last five meetings. Last season, they won a close 1-0 game against the Wildcats in Amherst, N.Y.
