With the loss, Daemen falls to 3-7-2 overall and 0-5-1 in league play. On the flip side, the defending ECC champion Knights improved to 8-4-1 overall while keeping their conference record unblemished at 5-0-0. The win also extended Queens' unbeaten streak to eight straight games, posting a 7-0-1 mark in that span. HIGHLIGHTS • Fortune Uzo opened the scoring in the game's 50th minute, netting an unassisted tally - his first of the season. • The Knights maintained just a one-goal advantage until Harry Cooke, the leading scorer in all of NCAA Division II, netted his 15th goal of the season. It came in the 75th minute and was also an unassisted tally. • Daemen got a shot on goal by senior midfielder Gaëtan François (Limoges, France) in the 85th minute as he attempted to cut the deficit in half, but it was saved by QC's Thenasis Shehadeh. Francois accounted for two of DSaemen's four shots on goal in the game. • Senior Arturo Bustamante (South Gate, Calif.) went the distance between the pipes for Daemen and equaled his career-high with 10 saves. GAME NOTES • Today marked the 11th all-time meeting between Daemen and Queens in men's soccer. The Knights lead the series 9-2. • The result also marked Queens' seventh shutout of the season. The Knights entered the game with a 0.33 goals against average for the season. • Along with Bustamante and Francois, graduate student Ajan Rajamohan (Spencerport, N.Y.) and sophomore Calvin Kron (Greece, N.Y.) played the full 90 minutes for the Wildcats today. UP NEXT The Wildcats are back in action on Oct. 26 when they start a three-game homestand by welcoming Mercy University for a 2:30 p.m. start.
