FLUSHING, N.Y. – Junior
Kylie Miranto (North Tonawanda, N.Y.) made history by becoming the fourth player in the program's 20+ year history with 30 career goals during Daemen University's 2-1 win over Queens College in East Coast Conference women's soccer action Saturday afternoon at Varsity Soccer Field.
With the win, Daemen improved to 6-6 overall and 4-1 in ECC action while the Knights shifted to 6-5-1 and 2-2 in conference play.

Madita Zeitz (Malsch, Germany) found Miranto off a corner kick. The third year forward controlled the pass and then fired a ball from the top of the box into the back of the net to break the deadlock.
• With the goal, Miranto became the fourth player in program history to amass 30 career goals and the first since Jamie Boyar accomplished the feat her junior season in 2018.
• The Knights came out hot to begin the second-half, firing two quick shots on net, but both were stopped by junior keeper
Becca Schultz (Grand Island, N.Y.).
• The Blue and White doubled their lead in the 62
nd minute as
Amanda Nilsson (Malmö, Sweden) sent a ball past Samantha Hines-Hirsch of Queens.
• The Knights closed out the scoring for the contest in the 75
th minute off a goal from Julia Ragone.
• Schultz made eight saves for her sixth win of the year while Hines-Hirsch only made one stop in the 84
th minute. Both played the entire contest.
• Queens held a 16-7 edge on shots, but Daemen ended the match with a 4-2 advantage in corners.
GAME NOTES
• Today marked the 11
th all-time meeting between the two sides with the series now tied, 5-5-1. Daemen has also won five of the last six meetings against Queens.
• Now at 30 career goals, Miranto is six away from tying Samantha Engel for third all-time in career goals with 36.
• The Wildcats ended the regular season winning four of their five final road games
• Entering the game, Schultz led the ECC and was ranked fourth in the nation for total saves with 83. Her 8.30 saves per game ranked ninth nationally and second in the ECC as well.

Nevada Hahn (Lancaster, N.Y.) were the only two players to play the full 90 minutes.
UP NEXT
The Wildcats end the regular season with four consecutive home games, starting with a test against nationally ranked Gannon on Oct. 23. Kick-off from Karrer Field is set for 2 p.m.
