The match took place at Lincoln Lanes. The host Bearcats won two of the three matches. SVC opened the match with a 985-829 win, and then followed with a 1,015-832 victory in game two. Daemen avoided the sweep with an 887-836 win in game three. Game one was scored using the traditional match format, while games two and three were scored using Baker format. Both teams entered the match ranked in the latest National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) Division II/III Poll. SVC is ranked ninth, while Daemen comes in at No. 12. Daemen stands at 28-19 on the year. The host Bearcats are now 52-11. Daemen has now prevailed in five of the last nine matches between the two team and the Wildcats now own a 15-11 advantage in the all-time series. HIGHLIGHTS Sophomore Bailey Glass (North Tonawanda, N.Y.) rolled a team-high 194 in game one, while graduate student Caitlyn Nowak (West Seneca, N.Y.) posted a 180. SVC held a slim 174-173 lead after the first game in match two. The hosts took control with a 200-164 win in round two and a 299-149 win in round three. Daemen jumped out to a 204-173 lead after the first round in match three, but SVC answered with a 151-138 win in round two. Daemen built an 82-pin lead (566-484) after posting a 224-160 win in round three, but SVC answered once again and cut the lead to 35 pins after the hosts won round four, 173-126. Daemen secured the win with a 195-179 win in the fifth and final round. UP NEXT Daemen remains in Latrobe to take part in the Brother Patrick Lacey Memorial Tournament tomorrow.
