Women's Bowling Season Ends at ECC Championship

HACKENSACK, N.J. — The Daemen women's bowling team saw its season come to a close at the ECC Championships on Friday at Bowler City Lanes. 

The Wildcats went 1-2 at the ECC Championship in Baker Best of Seven matches, winning their first contest but dropping their final two to be eliminated from the tournament. 

Daemen began the day by defeating Saint Anslem 4-3. The Wildcats won the first game 186-151 before the Hawks drew even with a 210-105 victory. Saint A's then won the next two, taking Game 3 (172-155) and Game 4 (166-138) to pull ahead 3-1. Daemen fought back, winning the final three games (169-160, 166-159, and 175-121) to secure the match.

The Wildcats then took on Molloy, dropping a  4-1 decision. After falling behind 1-0, Daemen tied it up with a 148-133 win in Game 2. The Lions took the next three (165-162, 150-136, and 225-192) to earn the win. 

Facing elimination, Daemen once again squared off against Molloy. The Wildcats tied the series at 1-1 with a 189-180 win in the second game, but the Lions once again pulled away. Molloy took the final three games, 175-167, 180-164, and 200-196 to end Daemen's season.

The Wildcats finish the year with a 34-52 record.
