AMHERST, N.Y. – Daemen University's reigning East Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Year Kylie Miranto (North Tonawanda, N.Y.) collected another accolade, becoming the first Wildcat in program history to be named ECC Preseason Offensive Player of the Year.

Miranto compiled a 2023 campaign to remember, becoming the first D2CCA All-American in program history during Daemen's Division II-era (2015-present), earning a spot on the third team. The North Tonawanda, N.Y. native was also named to the United Soccer Coaches (USC) Division II All-East Regional team and the 2023 ECC Offensive Player of the Year.

A key part of the Wildcats' offense, Miranto ranked seventh nationally in both goals per game (0.94) and points per game (2.18) while leading the Wildcats and ECC in goals (16) and points (37). In her career, Miranto has racked up 48 points (21 goals, 6 assists) and has recorded at least one point in 15 of her last 22 games dating back to the end of her freshman campaign.

Miranto helped lead the Wildcats to a 9-5-3 overall record last season and the program's first appearance in the 2023 ECC Women's Soccer Championship game. Daemen was also voted No. 1 in the 2024 ECC Preseason Coaches' Poll for the first time in program history during the Division II era on Thursday afternoon.

The Wildcats begin the 2024 campaign with seven consecutive road games throughout New York and New England, starting on Sept. 6 at 2 p.m. when they face Assumption University in Worchester, Mass. Daemen begins ECC play on Sept. 21 at 11 a.m. against the College of Staten Island and kicks-off their home slate at 1 p.m. on Oct. 2 against defending ECC regular season champions Roberts Wesleyan University.
