Men's Soccer Earns Road Win at Lock Haven

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Graduate student Dennis Montero Guerrero (Weingarten, Germany) scored twice in the first half to propel Daemen University to a 2-1 win against Lock Haven University in intercollegiate men's soccer action Tuesday afternoon at Hubert Jack Thomson Stadium.

HIGHLIGHTS

• Montero Guerrero and the Daemen offense did not slow down as the Weingarten, Germany native received a ball in the box from ECC Honor Roll recipient Emmanuel Perez (Los Angeles, Calif.) and sent another ball past Freiwald in the 24th minute to score his second of the match to double the Wildcats lead before halftime.
• The Bald Eagles cut the Wildcats lead in half in the 71st minute when Owen Lichtenwalner found the back of the net off an assist from Billy Lawrence.
• The Cavs peppered the Wildcats with shots until the final whistle, but senior and ECC Honor Roll honoree Arturo Bustamante (South Gate, Calif.) stopped all three shots he faced the remainder of the contest to seal the win.
• Lock Haven held a 15-5 advantage in shots and 5-0 edge in corners.
