HOOKSETT, N.H. – Agata Giani scored both goals for Southern New Hampshire University to lead them to a 2-0 win over Daemen University in intercollegiate women's soccer action Tuesday afternoon at Mark A. Ouellette Stadium.
The Penmen, who entered the game ranked No. 10 in the United Soccer Coaches Divison II national poll, improved to 3-0-1 while the Wildcats moved to 0-4-0.
HIGHLIGHTS
• Southern New Hampshire opened the scoring in the sixth minute when Giani received a pass from Imogen Noon and fired a ball into the back of the net.
• Giana nabbed her second of the contest less than ten minutes later as Noon once again found Giani to double to Penmen's advantage in the 15
th minute.
• Junior goalie
Becca Schultz (Grand Island, N.Y.) was a brick wall the remainder of the contest, not allowing another Penmen goal and making 11 saves across the next 75:35 of action.
• Schultz finished the contest with a career-high 15 saves while Claudia Keith made two saves for Southern New Hampshire to earn her third win of the year.
• The Penmen edged Daemen on corners, 5-1, but committed four fouls compared to just two for the Wildcats.
GAME NOTES
• Today marked the second meeting between the Penmen and Wildcats with Southern New Hampshire winning both contests.
• Schultz's 15 saves top her previous career-high of 14 which she set earlier this season on Sept. 6 against Assumption University.
• The Wildcats have now played two nationally ranked opponents consecutively as they faced No. 13 Adelphi back on Sept. 11.

The Wildcats kick-off East Coast Conference play on Sept. 21 at 11 a.m. when they head to downstate to face the College of Staten Island.
