WILMINGTON, DE – Behind two goals from senior
Rayane Baitiche (Thionville, France), Daemen University extended its unbeaten streak to four games with a 3-1 win over Goldey-Beacom in intercollegiate men's soccer action Wednesday morning at Nancy Churchman Sawin Field.
The Wildcats improved their record to 3-1-1 while the Lightning dropped to 1-5.
HIGHLIGHTS
• The Wildcats struck first as Baitiche collected a pass from fellow French international and senior,
Gaëtan François (Limoges, France), and fired the ball into the back of the net.
• Daemen entered halftime with a 1-0 lead and doubled its lead in the 63
rd minute. Senior
Emmanuel Perez (Los Angeles, Calif.) found
Fabrizzio Jaramillo (Lynwood, Calif.) who lofted a shot past Pedro Montanes to put the Wildcats ahead, 2-0.
• Baitiche tallied his second of the game in the 78
th minute to expand the Daemen lead to 3-0.
• Sam Ball found the back of the net for Goldey-Beacom with 20 seconds left to play for his first goal of the season.
• Senior
Arturo Bustamante (South Gate, Calif.) made three saves for the win while Montanes made one save on four shots faced.
• The Lightning edged the Wildcats on shots, 16-8, but the two sides were tied in shots on goal with four each.
GAME NOTES
• Today marked the first ever meeting between the Wildcats and Lightning in men's soccer.
• Baitiche's two goals represent the first multi-goal game of his Daemen career.

• Daemen's four match unbeaten streak is their longest since Oct. 15 – 26, 2022, when the Wildcats went on an identical 3-0-1 run.
• Perez has registered a point in three of his last four games dating back to Sept. 7 against Walsh.

UP NEXT
The Wildcats begin East Coast Conference play on Sept. 21 when they head downstate to play the College of Staten Island. Kick-off against the Dolphins is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
