ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Junior
Kylie Miranto (North Tonawanda, N.Y.) scored twice to propel Damen University to a 5-2 victory over Roberts Wesleyan University in intercollegiate women's soccer action Wednesday afternoon at Roberts Stadium.
The Wildcats improved to 2-4 overall while the Redhawks slipped to 3-3-1. While both schools are members of the East Coast Conference, the game was played as a non-conference contest.
HIGHLIGHTS
• Miranto kicked-off the scoring for Daemen in the fourth minute as she curled a ball into the bottom corner of the net off a pass from freshman

nd minute as senior
Alyssa Diaz (Rochester, N.Y.) was left unmarked in the box and sent a ball past Nicolette Knauf.
• Less than a minute later, Miranto notched her second goal of the contest as she collected a pass from Diaz on the left side of the field and once again found the back of the net to expand the Daemen lead, 3-0.
• The Redhawks scored twice before the half was over to cut the Daemen lead to just one, 3-2, after 45 minutes of action.

Ramone Trentin (Sãl Leopoldo, Brazil) fired a ball from outside the box that found the back left corner of the net to put Daemen ahead, 4-2.

Magda Carpenter (Lebanon, Conn.) scored her second goal of the season in the 85
th minute to close out the scoring for the contest.
• Daemen edged Roberts Wesleyan in shots, 16-14, and led in shots on goal, 11-8. The Wildcats also took four cornered compared to zero for the hosts.

Becca Schultz (Grand Island, N.Y.) eanred her second win of the year with a five save effort while Knauf made six saves in the loss.
GAME NOTES
• Daemen has now won three of the last four contests against Roberts Wesleyan. The Redhawks still own a slim, 12-11-5, edge in the all-time series.
• The five goals by Daemen are the most by a single team in the history of the series.
• Daemen has now scored five-or-more goals in back-to-back contests for the first time since Sept. 4-10, 2011, when they defeated Muskingum University and Fisher College by identical 8-0 results.
• Entering today's contest, Schultz ranked fourth nationally in total saves with 43 and ninth in the nation for save per game with an average of 8.60.
• Miranto scored two-or-more goals in two consecutive games for the first time since Oct. 21 -24 when she notched back-to-back hat tricks against St. Thomas Aquinas College and D'Youville University.
• Trentin's goal represented her second in a Wildcats uniform. Her first goal with Daemen came against Lincoln University (Pa.) on Oct. 1, 2023.
• Diaz appeared in her first match since Sept. 8 at American International College. Her three points represent a season-high as well.
