HIGHLIGHTS The hosts took the lead with a goal by Dylan Danch in the 14th minute, followed by another from Ethan Filbert in the 17th minute, putting the score at 2-0. Daemen responded when Amin Garcia (Leganes, Spain) found the back of the net in the 32nd minute to narrow the gap to 2-1. He ripped a shot that landed perfectly in the bottom right corner of the goal to beat the keeper. Shawn Richardson found the back of the net in the 76th minute, extending the home side's lead to 3-1. The scoring concluded with Luca Mansfield-Osborne's goal in the 88th minute, sealing a 4-1 victory for the Saints. Daemen began the first half with a focused defense, highlighted by Dylan Delaney's (Lockport, N.Y.) early save against D'Youville's attempt. The Wildcats had two corners in a minute, starting in the 23rd minute, but they could not find the back of the net. Axel Lozoya (Santa Fe, N.M.) had a chance in the 7th minute, but his shot was saved. Rayane Baitiche (Thionville, France) and Garcia also put shots off target. In the second half, Daemen faced an intense offensive surge from the Saints. Delaney made critical saves in the 48th and 57th minutes, keeping Daemen in contention. Yves Sisse (Phoenix, Ariz.) ripped a shot that was saved in the 70th minute, and Selim Ozleplebici (Thousand Oaks, Calif.) had the same result nine minutes later. GAME NOTES Garcia scored one goal and registered two shots in the match. Delaney made four saves while facing 22 shots. Garcia scored his second goal of the season.
