ON THE ROAD AGAIN
The Daemen University women's soccer team is back on the road for two matches this week. The Wildcats head to Tiffin for a non-conference tilt at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, before heading to No. 20 nationally-ranked Mercy on Saturday for an ECC match at 2:30 p.m.

REGIONALLY RANKED CATS
Daemen is ranked No. 10 in the United Soccer Coaches East Region Poll this week. The Wildcats joined Molloy and Mercy as regionally ranked teams in the ECC. Daemen has also played one other regional-ranked opponent this season in Assumption. This marks the first time since October 2023 that Daemen has been in the regional rankings.

LAST TIME OUT
Daemen secured a 3-1 victory over Queens on Saturday at Royal Park, thanks to two goals from Kaitlyn Wright (Geneva, N.Y.). The win was the Wildcats' sixth straight, as they improved to 7-2, including a 3-0 mark in the ECC. Kylie Miranto (North Tonawanda, N.Y.) also contributed four points (1G, 2A) in the victory. The Wildcats jumped out to an early 1-0 lead with Wright's first goal in the second minute.  Miranto extended Daemen's lead to 2-0 with a goal in the 32nd minute. Ava Lekanides scored for Queens in the 63rd minute, assisted by Goicochea, narrowing the gap to 2-1.
Daemen responded in the 74th minute, as Wright capitalized on a pass from Miranto to extend the lead to 3-1. Becca Schultz (Grand Island, N.Y.) stopped 10 shots in the victory.

SCHULTZ REPEATS AS DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Schultz was named ECC Defensive Player of the Week for the second straight week, announced by the conference on Monday. Schultz posted a 2-0 record, a 1.00 GAA, and a .900 save percentage in two games last week, combining for 18 saves in two Daemen victories. She stopped eight shots in the win over Roberts Wesleyan last Wednesday, then made 10 saves against Queens. The goalkeeper leads the ECC in saves (80), saves per game (8.89), and save percentage (.899). She is also third in goals-against average (1.014). Additionally, she ranks second nationally in saves and third in saves per game.

WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Miranto was named to the ECC Weekly Honor Roll for the second straight week on Monday. The senior logged six points with two goals and two assists, helping the Wildcats to two wins after scoring the game-winning goal against RWU (Wed.) and Queens (Sat.) Her one goal vs. RWU helped her become the fourth player in program history to reach 100 career points. She also posted four points (1G, 2A) in the win over Queens last Saturday.

IN THE RANKINGS
Miranto currently leads the ECC in goals (10), points (25), and game-winning goals (6). She is tied for first in assists (5).  The senior also sits tied for first nationally in points and tied for second in goals, while ranking tied for fourth in goals per game (1.11). Wright is fifth in the ECC in goals (5) and points (12). Victoria DiCarlo (North Tonawanda, N.Y.) is tied for eighth in helpers in the conference with three.
SCOUTING TIFFIN (1-6-2)
The Dragons are winless in their last seven games (0-6-1) and are coming off a 1-0 loss at Findlay last Saturday. Mackenzie Borden and Tia Nagle have both scored one goal for Tiffin. Aubree Lee has started five games between the pipes, posting a 1.37 GAA and a 0.837 save percentage.

SERIES HISTORY
The two sides have only met twice, with Daemen winning both meetings. The Wildcats won 2-0 in 2017 and 1-0 in 2016.
SCOUTING MERCY (8-0-1)
The Mavericks are ranked No. 13 nationally and No. 1 in the East Region in the United Soccer Coaches poll. Mercy has yet to lose and has won four straight games, most recently blanking St. Anselm, 1-0, last Saturday. Hailey Metzger leads the team with 19 points (7G, 5A), and Ancksu Dixon sits right behind her with 18 (7G, 4A). Goalkeeper Anneliese Becker has started all nine games, recording a 0.83 goals-against average and a 0.650 save percentage.

SERIES HISTORY
Mercy leads the all-tie series, 11-3, but Daemen won the last two contests. During the 2024 campaign, the Wildcats defeated the Mavericks 1-0 at home.
