Seven Wildcats Earn All-ECC Honors; Miranto Three-Peats as Offensive Player of the Year 11/5/2025 1:00:00 PM By: CONTACT: Connor Griffin, Assistant Director of Athletics Communications | cgriffin@daemen.edu AMHERST, N.Y. — Seven Daemen University women's soccer players were named to the 2025 All-East Coast Conference Team, led by Kylie Miranto, who earned ECC Offensive Player of the Year for the third consecutive season. Kaitlyn Wright (Geneva, N.Y.) and Macayla Hansen (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) joined Miranto on the first team. Kaitlin Mettler (Royalton, N.Y.), Ava Thompson (East Amherst, N.Y.), and Becca Schultz (Grand Island, N.Y.) were named to the second team. Nevada Hahn (Lancaster, N.Y.) rounded it out, grabbing a spot on the third team. This marks the second straight season and fourth time overall that the Wildcats have had seven all-conference selections, tying the program record once again. Miranto became the second player in ECC history to win a major award in three consecutive seasons, joining Susanne Vistnes of LIU Post (2012-14), who also earned Offensive Player of the Year three times in a row. The senior finished with a league-leading 34 points and 14 goals, also tallying six assists (tied for third in the ECC). She led the league and the nation in game-winning goals (9), while falling in the top five nationally in goals and points. A two-time ECC Offensive Player of the Week, Miranto logged four two-goal performances this season, doing so against American International, Bentley, St. Thomas Aquinas, and Southern New Hampshire. She logged a season-high five points (2G, 1A) to help the Wildcats defeat AIC. Miranto also surpassed the 100 career point mark, becoming the fourth player in program history to do so. Wright had a breakout second season, posting 20 points behind eight goals and four helpers. She finished tied for fourth in the ECC in points, fifth in goals, and tied for seventh in assists. Wright also ranked second on the team in goals and points. The sophomore recorded three games with four-plus points, logging two goals in a win at Post and against Queens, and a career-high five points (2G, 1A) in a victory over Southern New Hampshire. This is the first time in her career that she has earned postseason honors. Hansen started her college career strong, earning a spot on the first team. She logged 11 points with four goals and three assists, finishing third on the squad in goals and helpers. The freshman found the back of the net in four different matches. She notched her first career goal to help the Wildcats defeat St. Thomas Aquinas. Hansen also notched the game-winning goal in a 2-0 non-conference win over Roberts Wesleyan. Additionally, she scored at Roberts and against Molloy. Schultz had another standout season for Daemen, earning Second Team All-ECC accolades for the third straight season. She posted a 10-5-1 record, a .896 save percentage, and a 1.07 goals-against average while stopping 146 shots. Schultz led the ECC in saves, saves per game (9.13), and save percentage. She finished the regular season ranking second nationally in saves and third in saves per game. The senior posted four shutouts, doing so against Roberts Wesleyan, Tiffin, D'Youville, and Staten Island. She also recorded double-digit saves in nine contests, including posting a season-high 13 stops on three occasions, against Assumption, St. Michael's, and Roberts Wesleyan. Mettler logged valuable minutes in the midfield for the Wildcats this season, finishing fourth among field players with 1,168 minutes. She also recorded two assists on the year, including one on the game-winning goal against Bentley and another against St. Thomas Aquinas. The freshman played 70-plus minutes in 12 contests for the Wildcats and played the full 90 in two, doing so against Assumption and Mercy. Thompson helped anchor the Wildcats' backline. She finished second among field players in minutes (1,398), playing the full 90 minutes in 11 contests. Thompson helped Daemen record clean sheets against St. Thomas Aquinas, Roberts Wesleyan, Tiffin, D'Youville, and Staten Island. The sophomore, who transferred to Daemen this season, is earning postseason recognition for the first time in her career. She also logged three assists this season, providing a helper in victories over American International, Bentley, and Queens. Hahn was a key member of the Wildcats' defense, leading the team in minutes (1,440) after starting all 16 matches and playing the full 90 minutes in them. She helped Daemen surrender just 17 goals this season, including four shutouts, against St. Thomas Aquinas, Roberts Wesleyan, Tiffin, D'Youville, and Staten Island. The senior, who is earning All-ECC honors for the second consecutive season, also helped the Wildcats commit the second fewest fouls per game in the ECC (6.63) and helped opponents to a .055 shot percentage. Daemen earned the No. 4 seed in the ECC Women's Soccer Championship and hosts the No. 5 seed Queens in the first round on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. At Royal Park.
