Wildcats Post Multiple Top Three Finishes at Brockport Multi

BROCKPORT, N.Y. - The Daemen University women's track & field program competed in the Brockport Multi, hosted by Brockport University, over two days at Eunice Kennedy Shriver Stadium.

Sophomore Kristen Oliver (Massena, N.Y.) set another new program record for the hammer throw while junior Becca Schultz (Grand Island, N.Y.) placed first in the 100 meter hurdles to highlight the Wildcats efforts at the event. 

HIGHLIGHTS:
• Starting off the track, Oliver broke her own record she set last weekend in the hammer throw as she placed second with a final toss of 48.00 meters. With her new record today, Oliver now own four of the five longest throws in program history for hammer throw as well. 
• Sophomore Julia Petry (Batavia, N.Y.) finished in ninth in shot put with a personal best throw of 10.34 meters.
• Fellow sophomore D'Naesha Quicksey (Buffalo, N.Y.) placed third in the triple jump with a mark of 9.93 meters. 
• On the track, Schultz secured her second hurdles crown of the spring with a final time of 16.45 seconds. She last placed first in the event on March 29 at the Highlander Invitational. 
• Graduate student Emma Grzebinski (West Seneca, N.Y.) landed in sixth out of 30 runners in the 800 meter with a time of 2:30.59.
• Fellow graduate student Camryn Bailey (Geneva, N.Y.) placed second in the 1,500 meter with a time of 5:00.88 for her second top three finish in the event this outdoor season. 
• Junior Patsy Oberholzer (Greece, N.Y.) finished in second for the 5,000 meter (20:05.57). 
• Running in the 400 meter hurdles for the second time in her collegiate career, freshman Lia Brasacchio placed second with a time of 1:07.63. 

UP NEXT
The Wildcats will head to the other side of Amherst, N.Y., to compete in the UB Alumni Invitational, held at UB Stadium on the campus of the University at Buffalo, on April 18 starting at 3 p.m.
