AMHERST, N.Y. — The Daemen men's and women's track & field teams compete in their final regular season outdoor meet of the season, heading to Fredonia on Saturday for the Blue Devil Invitational. 

This will be the Wildcats' first time competing at the meet. It is also Daemen's final tune-up before the ECC Outdoor Track & Field Championships next Thursday. 

The Wildcats competed at the UB Alumni Invitational last Friday. On the women's side, Patsy Oberholzer (Greece, N.Y.) continued her strong season with a fourth-place finish in the 5,000m, crossing the finish line in a personal-best time of 18:16.03. She also posted a fifth-place finish in the 1500m, setting a PR of 4:54.66. The senior was named to the ECC Weekly Honor Roll for her efforts. The 4x100m relay team of Maggie Middaugh, Mia Wright (Liverpool, N.Y.), Becca Schultz (Grand Island, N.Y.), and Skylar Savage (Attica, N.Y.) broke the program record and placed sixth with a time of 49.86 seconds. Brianne Repolio (Haddon Heights, N.J.) broke the program record and placed fourth in the javelin with a 29.11m toss. Kristen Oliver (Massena, N.Y.) took fourth in the hammer throw with a launch of 46.0m. Repolio and Oliver were also named to the ECC Weekly honor roll. Freshman Alana Cawthon placed seventh in the shot put with a launch of 11.21m, ranking fourth in program history. Kylie Piekarski (Lancaster, N.Y.) placed ninth in the 5,000m with a PR of 19:28.42. Wright also took eighth in the 400m, finishing in 59.97 seconds.

For the men, CJ Johnson (Baltimore, Md.) continued his strong season with a fifth-place, program-record-breaking performance in the 1,500m, logging a time of 3:57.31. The junior was named to the ECC Weekly Honor Roll on Monday. Adam Kamagate (Hilton, N.Y.) logged two top ten finishes, first placing ninth in the 110m hurdles, crossing the finish line in 16.18 seconds. The senior also finished eighth in the 400m hurdles, coming in at 1:00.46. Daemen's 4x100 relay team of Owen Dernbach (Alden, N.Y.), Zayvion Davis (Lansing, N.Y.), Devon Mendez (Hartford, Conn.), and Seth Connery (North Tonawanda, N.Y) placed fourth with a time of 44.36 seconds. Ethan Keating (Wooster, Ohio) finished the 5,000m in a personal-best time of 15:31.13, good for eighth place and fifth in the program record book. In the jump pit, Dernbach placed 13th in the long jump, leaping 5.92m

The Wildcats will wrap up the season at the ECC Outdoor Championships next Thursday, hosted by Roberts Wesleyan in Rochester, N.Y.
