Women's Track and Field Wraps Outdoor Season at ECC Championships

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Daemen University women's track and field team concluded their outdoor season at the 2025 East Coast Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships, hosted by Roberts Stadium at Roberts Wesleyan. 

The Wildcats placed fourth out of eight schools with a final total of 63 points. The University of the District of Columbia took home the title with a final point total of 194. 

HIGHLIGHTS:
• Starting off the track at the throwers circle, sophomore Kristen Oliver (Massena, N.Y.) placed second overall in the hammer throw with a final distance of 46.15 meters. She was not the only member of the 'Cats to place within the top five as junior Samantha Kabel (Alexander, N.Y.) finished in fourth (39.24 m). 
• Oliver rolled her strong performance in the hammer throw over to shot put as she finished in fourth place (10.50 m). Oliver was joined by fellow sophomore D'Naesha Quicksey (Buffalo, N.Y.) in the top five as she placed fifth (10.01 m). 
• Kabel continued to place within the top five as she finished fourth in the discus with a distance of 32.10 meters. 
• On the track, graduate student Camryn Bailey (Geneva, N.Y.) secured third place in the 5,000 meters with a time of 18:34.53
• In her first appearance at the ECC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, freshman Lia Brasacchio (Victor, N.Y.) finished fourth (1:02.69) in the 400 meters. She also placed fourth in the 400 meter hurdles (1:06.88) as well. 
• Graduate student Emma Grzebinski (West Seneca, N.Y.) landed in third place for the steeplechase with a time of 12:23.74
• Junior Patsy Obenholzer (Greece, N.Y.) finished third in the 10,000 meters with a time of 42:07.86
