BACK ON THE PITCH
The Daemen University men's soccer team remains at home for another non-conference matchup, welcoming Georgian Court to Royal Park at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

LAST TIME OUT
Daemen dropped a 3-1 decision to Lock Haven at home on Tuesday. Axel Lozoya (Santa Fe, N.M.) put the Wildcats ahead 1-0 in the 39th minute, scoring his first career goal. The Bald Eagles leveled the match at 1-1 in the 44th minute. Lock Haven secured the 3-1 victory with two second-half goals, finding the back of the net in the 49th and 87th minutes. The Wildcats had multiple opportunities to add another goal, with five corners and 11 shots, including five on target. Christopher Vasquez (Sunnyside, N.Y.) made his first career start in goal and made five saves.

RACKING UP THE SAVES
Through the first seven games, Delaney leads the East Coast Conference in saves (42) and saves per game (6.00). The freshman stopped a season-high 12 shots at Franklin Pierce (Sept. 17). He also made nine saves against Saint Anselm (Sept. 12) and stopped five shots against Saint Michael's (Sept. 10).

LEADING THE WAY
Varallo has logged four points with a goal and two assists, and is tied with Larry Noel (Nassau, Bahamas) for the team lead.  Varallo's two helpers lead the squad, while Noel is the team leader in goals.

CAREER FIRSTS
Lozoya netted his first career goal on Tuesday against Lock Haven. Varallo scored his first career goal at Saint Michael's on Sept. 17, and Lozoya's assist on it marked his first career point. Lozoya joined Varallo, Selim Ozleplebici (Thousand Oaks, Calif.), Thomas Wikan (Inderøy, Norway), and Tim Florek (Marburg, Germany) as Wildcats who have netted their first collegiate goal this season.
