HIGHLIGHTS The Lions opened the scoring in the first minute with a goal by Gijs van Eif, assisted by Mikey Mallon. van Eif added another goal five minutes later, assisted by Ayendi Batista and Alessandro Cavallini, extending the lead to 2-0. Leo Elder scored just over a minute after van Eif, marking the Lions' third goal within the first eight minutes. Mallon found the net at 27:32, assisted by Sander Rynning, putting the Lions ahead 4-0. In the 73rd minute, the Lions capitalized again as van Eif scored with an assist from David Tuschmann and Anthony Ryan. The Wildcats managed a few shots on goal, but efforts by Larry Noel (Nassau, Bahamas) and Sujan Rajamohan (Spencerport, N.Y.) were saved by Batista. Axel Lozoya (Santa Fe, N.M.) also put a shot off target in the 11th minute. The Wildcats had two corners in the first half, but they could not capitalize. Daemen struggled to find the target, with multiple shots from Lozoya, Jonathan Lopez-Leblanc (Centennial, Colo.), and Sam Mann (Buffalo, N.Y.) missing the mark. Daemen's lone corner in the second half came during the 63rd minute, but it could not convert. GAME NOTES Dylan Delaney recorded two saves over 78 minutes in goal, facing 12 shots. Cristopher Vasquez made one save in his 11 minutes of play, conceding three goals. The Wildcats managed seven shots, with two on goal, but they were unable to break through the opposition's defense. Noel registered two shots, with one on target. Rajamohan also contributed with one shot on goal during the match.
