WE MEET AGAIN
The Daemen University women's soccer team plays its first road ECC match on Wednesday, making the short trip to Rochester to take on Roberts Wesleyan. The teams met last Wednesday in a non-conference game at Royal Park, with Daemen earning a 2-0 win. Macayla Hansen (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) converted a penalty kick in the 13th minute, giving Daemen a 1-0 advantage. Kylie Miranto (North Tonawanda, N.Y.) made it 2-0 in the 73rd minute. Becca Schultz (Grand Island, N.Y.) made 13 saves, tying her season-high for the third time.

LAST TIME OUT
Daemen earned a 3-2 victory over Post on Saturday at LaMoy Field. The Wildcats scored three goals in the second half to secure the victory, with two coming from Kaitlyn Wright (Geneva, N.Y.). After Post pulled ahead 1-0 in the 51st minute, Wright scored two quick goals in the 59th and 67th minutes, putting Daemen up 2-1. Miranto then scored in the 76th minute, making it 3-1. Schultz made eight saves, six of which came in the first half, to secure the victory.

SCHULTZ NAMED DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Schultz was named ECC Defensive Player of the Week on Monday. She posted a 2-0 record, a 1.00 goals-against average, and a .917 save percentage last week, stopping a combined 22 shots in the two wins. The goalkeeper leads the ECC in saves (62), saves per game (8.86), and save percentage (.899). She is also third in goals-against average (1.018). This is the third time this season that Schultz has been named Defensive Player of the Week, and the 11th time in her career she has earned the accolade.
