ON THE ROAD THEN HOME FOR SENIOR DAY
The Daemen women's soccer team (1-7-1) continues conference play, first traveling the short trip down I-90 to play Roberts Wesleyan Wednesday evening. The Wildcats then return home to take on Queens on Saturday. Daemen will hold senior day before the contest, honoring Victoria DiCarlo (North Tonawanda, N.Y.), Natalie Krelie (Bath, N.Y.), Brianne Repolio (Haddon Heights, N.J.), and Lily Macfarlane (Murcott, N.Y.).

LAST TIME OUT
The Wildcats earned a 1-0 ECC win over rival D'Youville last Wednesday (Sept. 30). Kreile gave Daemen a 1-0 lead in the 27th minute on a beautiful strike from over 30 yards out. Kaitlin Mettler (Royalton, N.Y.) earned an assist.  Goalie Rylee Kumer (Ambridge, Pa.) logged two saves in 90 minutes. She posted her first shutout as a Wildcat. The Wildcats had a couple of early chances, including Mettler having a shot saved in the second minute and Taylor Fiegel (Lockport, N.Y.) having an attempt stopped in the 12th minute. Thirty-five seconds into the second half, Mia Wright (Liverpool, N.Y.) ripped a shot off the left post. Fiegel had another shot saved in the 54th minute. Wright also had one saved four minutes later. Daemen's backline kept the Saints quiet to secure the clean sheet. The Wildcats then fell 1-0 at Staten Island on Saturday. The Wildcats took 12 of their 14 shots after halftime and put seven shots on goal overall. Staten Island scored the only goal in the first half, while the Wildcats finished with a 7-2 edge in shots on goal. Fiegel put a shot wide in the ninth minute, and Ava Thompson (East Amherst, N.Y.) had one saved in the 27th. The Wildcats had a corner and four more shots through the 59th minute, including shots from Mettler and Chloé Cardone (Hilton, N.Y.) that were saved. Macfarlane and Mettler each put late shots on frame before Fiegel's 88:55 effort went wide.

WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Krelie and Kumer were both named to the ECC Weekly Honor Roll on Monday. Krelie scored her first career goal on a strike from over 30 yards in Daemen's 1-0 win over rival D'Youville last Wednesday. She scored the game-winner in the 27th minute. She also played 82 minutes and helped the Wildcats' backline record a shutout. Kumer logged her first shutout as a Wildcat during Daemen's 1-0 win over rival D'Youville last Wednesday. The junior made two saves to earn the clean sheet. She also stopped one shot against CSI.
