INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- The Wildcats opened the first set with a strong start, capitalizing on a kill by Maverick O'Neill (East Amherst, N.Y.) and a service ace from Wieberg to take an early 2-0 lead. Manhattan and Daemen traded points throughout the set, but White's three kills, including one at 19-22, proved pivotal in maintaining Daemen's slight edge. The set concluded with Daemen taking the set 25-20, aided by service errors from Manhattan and a final Jasper attack error to seal the deal.
- In the second, Manhattan took the lead at 10-9 and never relinquished their advantage for the rest of the set, in part due to service errors (5) and attack errors (6) that hindered the Wildcat momentum. The Jaspers took the second set, 25-22.
- The Wildcats and Jaspers played close to start the third, but Daemen pulled away with a 9-2 run in the middle of the set to take a 16-8 lead. Manhattan brought the set within three (22-19) after tallying an 8-3 run of their own, but Mullen and Wieberg each contributed key points, including a kill by Mullen to close the set. Daemen took the third 25-21 after totaling 18 kills while hitting at a .455 clip.
- Fourth set action, the Cats and Jaspers began by trading points up to nine all, but Daemen posted four unanswered points off a pair of Mullen kills to lead 13-11.
