Wildcats Battle With Bloomsburg on the Road

SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, PA. -- The Daemen Men's Tennis team concluded a three-game road trip on Friday afternoon, falling by a 5-2 score to Bloomsburg University inside the Central PA Tennis Center.

Daemen's record moves to 2-6 on the season, while Bloomsburg starts the season 1-0 with the win.

The Huskies earned the first point of the day by winning all three doubles contests, including close calls at both No. 1 doubles (6-4) and No. 3 doubles (6-5) to take the early match lead.

Bloomsburg sealed the victory with straight set wins in singles play at Nos. 1, 2, 3, and 4. Freshman Pablo Viera (Naples, Fla.) put up a fight in his singles match before falling 6-3, 6-4.

With the match already decided, the Wildcats gained two points with a victory at both No. 5 and No. 6 singles. Freshman Mitch Pollack (Winnipeg, Man.) was the victor at No. 5 with a marathon 6-4, 4-6, 14-12 decision, while fellow freshman Jordan Hamdan (Johnson City, N.Y.) won his contest at No. 6 by a 2-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7-3) score.

Daemen hosts West Liberty on Saturday, Feb. 14 in the Wildcats' 2026 home opener. First serve is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. at the Miller Tennis Center.
