The game will be the team's Morgan's Message Game, which supports student-athletes' mental well-being. The Wildcats currently hold a 7-3 record, including a 2-0 ECC mark after defeating Molloy 12-10 on March 28. LAST TIME OUT Daemen picked up a 12–10 victory over Molloy in a tense back-and-forth ECC battle on March 28. The Wildcats' scoring was consistent, with two goals in the first quarter and a strong finish of four goals in the final quarter. The Lions held a brief lead in the second quarter with five goals, but Daemen's defense solidified in the fourth, limiting Molloy to just one goal and sealing the win. Avery Castner (Penn Yan, N.Y.) led the offense with four points on four goals. Marianna Szamoskozi (Port Coquitlam, B.C.) contributed three points with two goals and an assist. Maria Salvo (Clarence, N.Y.) scored once, netting the game-winner, and tallied two assists. Camryn Day (Hamburg, N.Y.) added three points with a goal and two assists. Defensively, Ella Bouley (Auburn, N.Y.) and Sam Branner (Ontario, N.Y.) posted three caused turnovers and scooped up three ground balls each. Kylie Miranto (North Tonawanda, N.Y.) and Ava Brown (Port Crane, N.Y.) each posted two CTs. Freshman goalie Mia Caryl (Marcellus, N.Y.) made eight saves to earn her second career win. ECC WEEKLY HONOR ROLL Bouley, Castner, and Caryl were named to the ECC Weekly Honor Roll on March 28. Bouley tied her season-high with three caused turnovers while scooping up three ground balls in Daemen's 12-10 win over Molloy on Saturday. She also collected a team-best seven draw controls and scored a goal in the victory. Bouley helped the Wildcats hold the Lions to just one goal in the first and fourth quarters. Castner led the Wildcats with four points by four goals in a 12-10 victory at Molloy. She scored once in each quarter to help the Wildcats secure the win. The senior also collected two ground balls. Caryl made eight saves to earn her second career win in the Wildcats 12-10 victory over Molloy on Saturday. The freshman stopped three shots in the final quarter to secure Daemen's first win in program history over the Lions. She also allowed just one goal in the first and fourth frames. SCORING IN BUNCHES The Wildcats have scored 149 goals, averaging 14.90 per game. Among the top performances are the Wildcats' program record 25 goals against UDC, 21 against Tiffin, 18 against Gannon, 16 against Lake Erie, and 14 against Walsh. Leading the way is Salvo with 26. The junior posted a six-goal performance in the win over Gannon. Castner has 25 goals while Bouley sits behind her with 22. Castner netted a combined four goals during the win over Molloy, while Bouley has three games with three or more goals. Salvo ranks fifth in the ECC in goals per game (2.75) while Castner is seventh (2.50) and Bouley sits eighth (2.20). Salvo is also fifth in points per game (3.70), while Calandra is fifth in assists per game (1.50). BRICK WALLS Goalies Molly Evans (Fulton, N.Y.) and Caryl have been stellar thus far. Evans holds a 5-0 record and a 9.04 goals-against average. She made four saves in the victory over Walsh and stopped five shots during the win over Findlay. Caryl holds a 2-3 record and has logged an 11.23 goals-against average. She made eight saves in the win over Molloy and recorded nine stops in the victory over Gannon. MAKING HISTORY Daemen's 25 goals against UDC marked a program record for the most in a game by the team. Bouley has hit several milestones this season. She passed 200 career draw controls against UDC last Saturday and scored her 100th career goal against Gannon on March 11. The senior also broke the program record for goals (8) and points (10) in a game during the win over Tiffin. Castner also surpassed 100 career points against Tiffin, becoming the second player in program history to achieve the feat, along with Bouley. IN THE RANKINGS Daemen currently leads the ECC in goals per game (14.90), assists per game (8.40), and points per game (23.30). The Wildcats also sit third in draw controls per game (13.40) and are fourth in total ground balls (155). SCOUTING MERCY (10-2, 3-0 ECC) The Mavericks are ranked #18 in the latest IWLCA poll and are coming off a 12-5 win over Jefferson on Wednesday. Mercy dropped an 8-6 decision against #15 Pace on April 2. Ashlinn Kelly leads the Mavericks in points (44), tying for the team lead in goals (33) while having 11 assists. Freshman Jessica Grzelaczyk sits one behind her (43) with 23 goals and team-leading 20 assists. Kayden Mayer is tied with Kelly in goals (33) and has 38 points with five assists. Emily Marino is the team leader in caused turnovers (23) and ground balls (30). Goalie Olivia LaMonica has started 11 of Mercy's games, posting an 8-2 record, a 9.93 goals-against average, and a .448 save percentage. SERIES HISTORY The Wildcats are 0-4 all-time against the Mavericks. Daemen fell 21-2 at Mercy in the ECC semifinals last year.
