The Wildcats currently hold a 7-4 record, including a 2-1 ECC mark after falling to Mercy last Saturday. LAST TIME OUT Daemen fell 22-9 to #18 Mercy on Saturday. Avery Castner (Penn Yan, N.Y.) led the offense with four goals on eight shots, including a player-up goal. Ella Bouley (Auburn, N.Y.) contributed with two goals and an assist, also converting a free-position attempt. Adison Pollutro (West Seneca, N.Y.) added two goals, one during a player-up situation. Mikayla Myer (Geneva, N.Y.) recorded one goal and one assist. Defensively, Bouley and Kylie Miranto (North Tonawanda, N.Y.) each logged two caused turnovers and collected two ground balls. ECC WEEKLY HONOR ROLL Castner was named to the ECC Weekly Honor Roll on Monday. The senior led the Wildcats' offense against #18 Mercy, scoring four goals on eight shots, including a player-up goal. Castner logged her third straight game and sixth game of the season with three-plus goals. SCORING IN BUNCHES The Wildcats have scored 158 goals, averaging 14.36 per game. Among the top performances are the Wildcats' program record 25 goals against UDC, 21 against Tiffin, 18 against Gannon, 16 against Lake Erie, and 14 against Walsh. Leading the way is Castner with 29 goals, after she netted four against Mercy. Maria Salvo (Clarence, N.Y.) sits second with 25. The junior posted a six-goal performance in the win over Gannon. Bouley is third with 24. She has three games with three or more goals. Castner ranks sixth in the ECC in goals per game (2.64), while Castner is seventh (2.36), and Bouley sits eighth (2.20). Salvo is also eighth in points per game (3.45), while Sadie Schlesselman (Lancaster, N.Y.) and Shannen Calandra (Rome, N.Y.) are tied fifth in assists per game (1.36). CAUSING HAVOC Miranto currently leads the team in caused turnovers (19) and ranks fourth in the ECC in caused turnovers per game (1.73). She has posted six games with multiple CTs, including back-to-back contests with two. Bouley is second on the team in caused turnovers (16), also ranking eighth in the conference in caused turnovers per game (1.45). She has five games with multiple CTs, including three in the victory at Molloy. BRICK WALLS Daemen goalies Molly Evans (Fulton, N.Y.) and Mia Caryl (Marcellus, N.Y.) have been stellar thus far. Evans holds a 5-0 record and a 10.21 goals-against average. She made four saves in the victory over Walsh and stopped five shots during the win over Findlay. Caryl holds a 2-4 record and has logged a 12.13 goals-against average. She made eight saves in the win over Molloy and recorded nine stops in the victory over Gannon. MAKING HISTORY Daemen's 25 goals against UDC marked a program record for the most in a game by the team. Bouley has hit several milestones this season. She passed 200 career draw controls against UDC last Saturday and scored her 100th career goal against Gannon on March 11. The senior also broke the program record for goals (8) and points (10) in a game during the win over Tiffin. Castner also surpassed 100 career points against Tiffin, becoming the second player in program history to achieve the feat, along with Bouley. IN THE RANKINGS Daemen currently leads the ECC in assists per game (8.09) and points per game (22.45), while ranking second in goals per game (14.36). The Wildcats also sit third in draw controls per game (13.18) and are fourth in caused turnovers per game (8.82). SCOUTING D'YOUVILLE (5-7, 2-1 ECC) The Saints are coming off a 19-6 home loss to Roberts Wesleyan last Saturday. D'Youville earned a 19-3 win over Lake Erie in its non-conference finale on April 7. Madison Handley leads the team in goals (31) and is third in points (37) with six assists. Madison Buck is the team leader in assists (25) and points (47), having also dished out 22 assists. Danielle Gephart has logged 24 goals and 15 assists for 39 points and is second on the Saints in goals and points. Defensively, Lauren Parker has posted a team-best 17 caused turnovers while scooping up 21 ground balls. BreeLynn LaLonde has collected a team-high 26 ground balls and caused 12 turnovers. Goalie Kaylee Farias has started all 12 games, posting a 3-7 record, a 13.68 goals-against average, and a .429 save percentage. SERIES HISTORY The Wildcats are 1-2 all-time against the Saints. Daemen earned its first win in program history over its crosstown rival last season, defeating D'Youville 13-12 on the road. SCOUTING ROBERTS WESLEYAN (4-8, 3-1 ECC) The Redhawks defeated D'Youville 19-6 last Saturday after falling 16-14 in their non-conference finale against Lock Haven on April 8. Lia MacDougall is Roberts' leader in goals (47) and points (53) with six assists. Ella Dossier has posted a team-best 42 assists and sits second in points (52), having scored 10 goals. Kadie Tierney ranks third on the Redhawks in goals (32) and assists (12) and is third in points (44). Defensively, Allison Clahane has logged a team-leading 30 caused turnovers while collecting 30 ground balls. MacDougall leads Roberts in ground balls (38) and has caused 26 turnovers. Goalie Josella Harrison has started all 12 games, recording a 4-8 record, a 9.36 goals-against average, and a .347 save percentage. SERIES HISTORY The Wildcats are 0-3 against the Redhawks. Daemen lost 19-11 at home when the teams met last season.
