AMHERST, N.Y. -- Four members of the Daemen University men's volleyball team have earned all-conference honors from the NEC, the league announced on Wednesday afternoon. Patrick Mullen (Farmingdale, N.J.), Maverick O'Neill (East Amherst, N.Y.), Billy Wieberg (Grand Island, N.Y.) and Kyle Zelasko (West Seneca, N.Y.) were each named to the All-NEC Second Team. It marked the fourth consecutive year that at least four Wildcats earned all-conference, and the second straight season that four Daemen players earned Second Team accolades.

Patrick Mullen: R.So., RS -- Mullen put together a breakout redshirt sophomore campaign to earn all-conference honors for the first time in his Daemen career. The right side posted a single-season program record of 334 kills to average 3.67 kills per set while hitting .233 on the year. Mullen added 131 digs (1.44/set), 46 total blocks (0.51/set) and 35 aces on the year. Daemen's top offensive weapon throughout the season, Mullen hit in the double figures in 19 of the 24 matches he played in and hit 20+ kills twice, including totaling a career-high 24 kills against Roberts Wesleyan on Feb. 3. Mullen finished the year ranked third in the conference in kills and points and fifth in service aces. He posted two double-doubles (kills-digs) this season, first with 17 kills and 13 digs in the four-set victory over Roberts Wesleyan on Jan. 27 and then in the 18 kill 10 dig five-set victory over Dominican on Feb. 20. Mullen's 394 total points this season set a new program record, surpassing Daemen's star outside hitter Zach Schneider (2020-25)'s 372.0 points set in 2024.

Maverick O'Neill: 5th, MB -- In his standout fifth year season, O'Neill earned Second Team All-NEC honors for the second consecutive year. In the 2026 campaign, he broke his own program record for single season blocks (98) and blocks per set (1.02) as well as becoming Daemen's all-time program leader for blocks (242), solo blocks (64) and assisted blocks (178). O'Neill totaled 30 solo blocks and 68 assisted blocks -- both single-season program records -- and recorded just eight blocking errors all season. His nine blocks against Roberts Wesleyan on Feb. 3 marked the second-most blocks in a game in the league this season. He finished third in the NEC in blocks with 1.02 blocks/set, finishing behind only Maryland Eastern Shore's Chase Valentine (1.28/set) and FDU's Rayjan Suarez Palacios (1.28/set) who were named the NEC Rookie of the Year and NEC Defensive Player of the Year, respectively. O'Neill was also a key threat in the middle offensively, finishing fourth on the team in kills with 134 (1.4/set) while hitting at a .321 clip on the year.

Billy Wieberg: R-Sr., OH -- In his fourth and final season as a Wildcat, Wieberg built off his 2025 Second Team All-NEC year by earning all-conference accolades for the second season in a row as he totaled 246 kills, 37 aces, 134 digs and 39 blocks. Wieberg finished his redshirt senior season ranked fourth in aces (0.40 aces per set), 10th in kills (2.65 kills per set) and 10th in points (3.29 per set). A weapon from the service line, he set a Daemen single-season record with his 37 aces on the year. Over his career as a Wildcat, Wieberg ranks second all-time in service aces (89) and total attack attempts (1,575), third in total kills (658) and total points (810), fourth in kills per set (2.25), points per set (2.77), total digs (403) and matches played (90), fifth in the program in sets played (292) and service aces per set (0.30), sixth in total solo blocks (23), seventh in blocks (103), total assisted blocks (80) and digs per set (1.38), and 10th in hitting percentage (.225).

Kyle Zelasko: Sr., L -- A four-year starter for the Wildcats, Zelasko was named to the All-NEC Second Team for the second year in a row after another outstanding season as Daemen's libero. In his senior season, Zelasko finished with a single-season program-record 204 digs, breaking his own record (194 set in 2025) by 10. He also became the single-season leader in digs per set (2.19), which ranked second in the NEC this season. Over his four-year Daemen career, Zelasko finished second in the record books in sets played (346), total digs (601) and digs per set (1.74), third overall in matches played (99) and eighth in total service aces (41). Zelasko holds the Daemen single match record for aces (6 vs. D'Youville on Feb. 23, 2023), digs in a five set match (21 vs. LIU on April 11, 2026), and is tied for digs in a four set match (15 vs. D'Youville on April 18, 2025).

Daemen finished the 2026 campaign with a 13-13 overall record and 6-6 record in NEC play.
